Our Vision: To carry a message of hope for family/whanau of people who are experiencing a major mental illness such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, depression etc.

Our Mission: To provide the best possible education, advocacy and support for family/ whānau of people experiencing a major mental illness.

We believe that families and whānau can play a key role in the recovery process for someone who experiences a mental illness.

We use the terms 'family' and 'whānau' to describe anyone who cares for or supports a person experiencing a major mental illness.

Supporting Families NZ has a network of branches throughout the country that provide information, education, support and training to the families/whanau of people experiencing mental illness.
