TheMHS 2014 Conference
Join the discussion in 2014 for one of Australasia’s longest running and premier mental health conferences. TheMHS Conference 2014 will be held in the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre on 26-29 August 2014. This year’s theme is “What We Share Makes Us Strong” and the conference will explore topics relating to real, on the ground experience.

TheMHS Conference is very excited to welcome Dr Pat Bracken, Clinical Director of the Mental Health Service in West Cork, Ireland, and Melody Riefer, Senior Associate and Director in Training at Pat Deegan, PhD & Associates, as Keynote Speakers in Perth.

Our Vision: To carry a message of hope for family/whanau of people who are experiencing a major mental illness such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, depression etc.

Our Mission: To provide the best possible education, advocacy and support for family/ whanau of people experiencing a major mental illness.

We believe that families and whanau can play a key role in the recovery process for someone who experiences a mental illness.

We use the terms 'family' and 'whanau' to describe anyone who cares for or supports a person experiencing a major mental illness.

Supporting Families NZ has a network of branches throughout the country that provide information, education, support and training to the families/whanau of people experiencing mental illness.
